Chrissy Teigen's Cravings: Recipes for all the Foods You Want to Eat ~ When I first saw this book my thoughts went something like "yeah right, there's no way she eats carbs and does she really even know how to cook." But as I flipped through the cookbook, I found myself very impressed with the photos and the qualitiy of the recipes. Yes, I actually do want to eat that. And then I will run 10 miles in 98 degree heat. But whatever. I like this book. $29.99 (It retails for $29.99, but it's available on Amazon for $14.99... hmmm.)
Canvas Home - Tinware Salt and Pepper Shakers ~ These remind me of something you'd find on grandma's dining table, on top of a plastic yellow checkered tablecloth. They aren't bad, but I'm not in love with them. Plus I'm a freshly cracked salt and pepper snob. I feel like they are asking to become a craft makeover. Maybe add some gold leafing to the outside, or maybe they will become glitter shakers. Not quite a hit, but not a miss either. The site for the Canvas Home store is nice and they have gorgeous products, I glad I've been introduced to them. $12
Next by Nature - Dark Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans ~ Yes! Always a hit! The fastest way to my heart is coffee or chocolate. (Well maybe it's more like coffee or wine. Definitely my beverages of choice.) But anything that will give me that caffeine buzz is winner. These chocolate espresso beans taste amazing, the chocolate tastes high-qualtity and not waxy. Yay! If you get a chance check out the Next by Nature website and all the other chocolate flavors they have. They look amazing, especially the Dark Chocolate Cayenne Pepper. $3.99
Farmacy - Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm ~ My first impression with this night balm is that it is packaged very nicely. The box it's in is cool and the wood covered lid is really pretty. I wore the balm for three sleeps so far, and it goes on smoothly and smells nice. It doesn't absorb too quickly, or maybe I'm just putting too much on. It hasn't made me break out, so that is a bonus. Verdict : I like it! $48
Noon Design Shop - "Lemons" Flour Sack Tea Towel. Of course I like this screen printed tea towel, it looks like something that I would design myself. Another shop that is super cute. I'm in love with this Leaves towel that they have in the shop. $18
Royal Apothic - Field Poppy Conservatories Hand Creme. First off, everything at this shop looks fancy and I have to have it. The Field Poppy Conservatories Hand Creme is LUXURIOUS! It's so fancy that it's creme not cream. Plus it comes with a clip to roll up the end as you use it. I was concerned at first that the creme was a little too fragrant, but the strength of the scent softened quickly and it ended up not being overbearing. $24
Bloom That - $20 gift card ~ This is considered a "special extra." Bloom that is a flower delivery service that sells gorgeous bouquets of flowers. This arrives just in time for Mother's Day. I have no qualms about ordering flowers for myself. Which is exactly what I'm going to do.This month's box is valued at over $130 (not counting the gift card) and I feel like it was well worth it. All of these items are from brands I was unaware of or would not have purchased on my own, but I enjoyed each and every product.
