This Ruby Red grapefruit, tequila and soda cocktail is refreshing and just slightly sweet. It’s a perfect way to celebrate citrus season!
I figured with it being the end of the year I’d give you a cocktail recipe. Ok, it’s for myself, to be honest. I can see the grapefruit on ripening on the tree from where I am sitting and I love drinking the juice with a little bit of tequila and soda water. Um yes, it’s delightful. But you have to be a grapefruit person and a tequila person at that. The Ruby Red grapefruits are tangy and just slightly sweet.

Anyhow, just like every other person, I like to use the New Year to start fresh. Cut out the sugar, cut out the alcohol, ditch the carbs…you know flush the system and eat clean. So here is my last hurrah!
Try these Broiled Grapefruits… it’s like a happy mix of breakfast and dessert!
I thought about pulling out the juicer, but there are so many parts and you have to clean it. Meh. So old school juicing is the way to go. (Check out this juicer on Amazon! It looks like a watering can and filters out the pulp. So cute!)
I made this drink with Casamigos tequila anejo, which I love. You can use club soda but I chose to use lime La Croix and it was fresh and delicious.
Ruby Red Grapefruit, Tequila and Soda
2 parts Ruby Red grapefruit juice
1 part tequila anejo
1 part lime La Croix
Stir together and serve cold.
Do you think you’ll try this grapefruit, tequila and soda cocktail?
