I’ve come across a ton of painted silverware out on the internet and I think it has a cool, modern-and-vintage at the same time feel. Instead of the “dipped in paint” look that I have mostly seen, I decided to go for the two-tone approach.
It was extremely simple. I found some old silverware that no one uses and got some glossy spray paint in yellow and white. Making sure the silverware was clean and dry, I painted the entire utensil white using two light coats. Once dry, I sprayed the yellow on the top halves, also requiring two light coats. Done.
I used spray adhesive to put gray fabric onto the backing of the picture frame. Then I adhered the silverware to the backing using the hot glue gun. Stuck the whole thing in the frame (without the glass) and hung it in the kitchen.
It’s ridiculously easy, and adds a fun bit of color to the kitchen.

So cute! I was thinking about making one of these with the plain silverware but it’s even cooler with the paint! Thanks for the inspiration!
Love it! So many possibilities!
