This patriotic stars and stripes wreath is super quick and easy to make and is festive for the upcoming patriotic holidays!

Quick and easy stars and stripes wreath. It's a perfect DIY tutorial for Memorial Day, 4th of July and Veteran's Day!

Memorial Day is more than just a day for cooking out and the kick-off to summer. It’s a day to celebrate and remember those we’ve lost while serving our country. This quick and festive wreath is a great way to show your support from your front door!

Supplies~

  • Grapevine Wreath
  • Embossing Foil
  • Star punches ( I used three different sizes)
  • Red and white striped ribbon
  • Blue tulle (I used 3 inch width that I found at Hobby Lobby, but 6 inch folded over will work too)
  • Floral wire
  • Hot glue gun and glue

The embossing foil is 38 gauge aluminum foil. It’s thicker than your standard kitchen foil. If you don’t feel like ordering a roll, you can run to the store and get some disposable foil pans and just flatten them out. I had blue foil, but I just used the reverse side for the silver. BE CAREFUL, THE EDGES OF THE FOIL CAN BE SHARP. Punch out60 or 70 stars. I happened to have three different size punches, so used those, but one size would look great as well!

Take about nine feet of the striped ribbon and nine feet of the tulle and lay them on top of one another. Start folding them over themselves, making 6-inch loops like the photo above. Take the floral wire and tie it in the middle. Separate the loops until you have a puffy bow. Use the wire to tie the bow to the grapevine wreath.

Using the hot glue gun, glue the stars on to the wreath. Be careful, the metal stars conduct the heat from the hot glue and can get pretty hot! Once you have all the stars on you are done! Quick and cute! You will love how the foil stars reflect the light!
