I’m 30 days into the 80 Day Obsession workout and I have been slacking on my nutrition. I’ll be honest, it’s hard to stay focused when the rest of the family loves to eat yummy treats. Although, we all eat the veggies and the proteins, I’m trying to stay away from the snacks. It’s a challenge, especially during pumpkin season. Pumpkin itself is actually really good for you. It’s high in fiber and in vitamin A. The kiddos are all about the pumpkin bread, pumpkin cookies, and even pumpkin pasta, and I was a little jealous.
But not now. I made the best tasting Pumpkin Cinnamon Protein Shake this morning and it’s my new favorite treat. This protein shake became really yummy with the addition of a splash of Torani Sugar Free Brown Sugar Cinnamon syrup. The protein shake tastes great without it, but the syrup really added flavor.
The nutrition info for this protein shake can differ greatly depending on what type of protein powder you use. I like this Quest Vanilla Milkshake protein powder. Also, make sure you get pumpkin purée, not pumpkin pie filling. Pumpkin pie filling has sugar and spices in it, which you don’t want.

My son was asking me the other day if I had any other recipes for protein shakes (he was getting tired of strawberry banana!). I think he will love this one!
