Move over banana bread…these banana walnut brownies are another way to use up those ripe bananas! Gooey and chocolaty, they are amazing when they are warm.
Once again I had some bananas get too ripe. Ugh. There are usually only two options with over ripe bananas. One, peel them and put them in the freezer to put in smoothies at a later date. Two, banana bread, obviously. Neither of those options sounded particularly great at the time.

But then, another option popped into my mind. What about banana brownies? Bananas and chocolate make a great combination, right?
These banana walnut brownies are somewhere between cakey and fudgey. I don’t know how, but they are light and fluffy, yet perfectly gooey in spots. They would be amazing hot with ice cream on top, like a banana split with the bananas baked in.
