I chose to do cookie cutter stamped kitchen towels in snowflakes and in my new favorite Christmas colors, turquoise and indigo, just like my Christmas wreath!
Instead of getting fabric paint, I purchased some acrylic paint and added Fabric Painting Medium to it. I love fabric medium because it turns any acrylic paint into a fabric paint. So you can have all the colors! I used Indian Turquoise and Ultramarine Blue paint colors.
For the DecoArt fabric medium, you need to mix the paint to fabric medium at a ratio of 2:1. It’s that simple! I mixed each color on a paper plate using paint brush.
Lay out a pre-washed flour sack towel and start stamping. Once you are done, let it dry overnight and then iron the towels to set in the paint. (P.S. There are many not-so-good flour sack towels…THESE are my favorite and probably the best quality!)
This snowflake cookie cutter came in a set of three (similar here), so I included the biggest one (the one that I didn’t use for painting) as well as snowflake sprinkles and a snowflake spatula (similar), with the towels.
