These gold leaf Christmas trees may look dramatic, but they are easy to make and are foolproof! They look great on a Christmas table or all winter long as fun decor!
These tall golden trees make a stunning centerpiece or a great accent to a table scape, and are easily made with inexpensive materials!
I used three different sized paper maché cone trees, which I found at the craft store as well as some imitation gold leaf.
These trees were super easy to make. Each tree was painted white with a foam brush, and dit took about four coats of paint to adequately cover each tree. Once the paint was dry, I took the cone outside and lightly sprayed the bottom half of the tree with the spray adhesive.

At this point, I laid the gold leaf on the adhesive sprayed cone, and rubbed it on, and rubbed off the spots that aren’t sticking. The gold leafing should stick less and less as you get closer to the top. I had to add a couple squirts of the spray adhesive towards the top, because it dried before I got the leafing on.
Just smooth all the gold leafing down and display the gold leaf trees proudly in the center of the table!
