Decorate a charging block with adhesive vinyl stripes with this easy to do craft.
After the great Phone Charger Debacle of 2022, I always have my own dedicated phone charger that my teens can’t steal. I don’t talk about the debacle much, but just imagine one charger and two teens with dead phones. It wasn’t pretty. While the question of where the chargers go still remains a mystery, I stay prepared with my own personal charger that is easily identifiable.
This project is great because you can use those scraps of vinyl that are too big to throw out, but can be hard to use and because you can just use a paper cutter or scissors and don’t need to pull out a craft cutting machine.

Choose the colors you want to use and then cut the vinyl into strips of various sizes. No need to overthink it!

Start at one spot and just wrap the vinyl around. Cut the end with scissors and start with a new color. I decided to only go up half way because I liked the way it looked. I’m going to pick other colors for the kids, and hopefully we will never see another debacle like the one in ’22.

What a creative way to personalize something as mundane as a charging block!
I love the idea of using adhesive vinyl stripes to add a pop of color or pattern. It’s a simple DIY project that can really elevate the look of your tech accessories.
Cute way to identify your charger.
