Hi there!
I’ve been going back and forth for some time now on how I’d like to see the girls’ room decorated. I have a complete fear of commitment when it comes to home decor. I love a well decorated space, but I cannot seem to make a decision when it comes to my own home. Plus, I have two very opinionated little girls. So when I was offered the chance to review some designer decals from Wallternatives, I jumped on it!
The most difficult part of the process was picking out which decals to get. They have frames, quotes, calendars, floral, animals…the list goes on. Not only that, there are different types of decals…vinyl, chalkboard, fabric. And soon they will offer removable wallpaper and decals that look like etched glass!
So I sat with the girls in front of the computer and let them pick out what they wanted on their walls. They chose the Forest Animals Vinyl Wall Decal Set, which includes an adorable owl, deer and squirrel. We then chose the colors of the animals and the florals that go with them. I guided the girls towards colors that would match their duvet covers. They chose lavender and silver.
Applying the decals was super easy. Just cut out the decal, peel off the paper backing, stick the decal to the wall, smooth your hand over it to make sure it’s stuck all over and there are no bubbles, then very carefully remove the clear plastic on top used for the transfer.
Add your floral accents and your done.
The vinyl decals are easily removable for three years, but are difficult to reapply if you don’t like where you put them. If you really are a commitment phobe, then I would suggest the fabric decals, when you can remove and reposition.
The decals look great! The lavender and silver really stand out against the gray walls, and the kiddos love that they were able to choose some of the decorations for their room!
**Wallternatives provided me with the free decals, but the opinions are all mine. I really do think they are awesome!**

I am in love with woodland creatures – especially that little deer! I should really look into these for my daughter. This would be a fun way to update her room without repainting!
I love these woodland creatures. The walls in my old house are rough and uneven so I’m going to create my own stencils based on these.
