Last week I reviewed the FabFitFun Welcome Box and it was so fun that I thought I’d review another subscription box this week. Ok, the truth is that if I say I’m doing it ‘for the blog,’ I can justify it with Mr. Sparklepants. Plus I love getting these boxes in the mail. I figure if there is something in them I won’t use I can just give the item away as a gift.
So this week I received my first PopSugar Must Have Box. I’ve been eyeing this subscription for a while. I really like that the products are full size. It’s a monthly box, and for $39.95 they guarantee that you’ll receive over $100 worth of products. That’s cool with me!
Nanette Nanette Lepore classic rose gold watch $55 – This watch is very simple yet it’s adorable. The band is a neutral off white which is meant to look great with lots of outfits.
Pixi by Petra Book of Beauty $24 – This is a makeup set that includes two cheek tints, two highlighters and four eye shadows. The colors are meant to create a naked face look, and look good on most skin tones. I love how the makeup looks on my face!
Hello Whitening Toothpaste $4.49 – This toothpaste claims to be good for the environment and good for you. As long as it keeps my teeth white I’m happy with it.
Govino Carafe and Water Glass Set $14.95 – I’m on the fence about this one. It claims to be a water glass and carafe, but it’s made by Govino, so I think it’s really meant for drinking wine. Alone. Of course alone because there is only one glass. But the carafe and glass are made of plastic, so maybe it’s really made for drinking wine on the go. Like as if you are going to your neighbors house to drink wine, but you don’t want to share her wine. I dunno. I guess I like it.
Miss Ivy Pearl Five Tassel Necklace $38 – I’ll start off by saying this is not my style. I know I want to branch out and try wearing new products, but I just am not sure this is me. It is cute though, and I like the colors. This will be better off as a gift for someone who can pull off this type of jewelry.
Goodie Girl Cookies Toffee Chaos $4.99 – I’m on a low sugar kick right now, so I only took a bite of a cookie and it took amazing willpower to not eat the entire package. They are gluten free and honestly taste delish.
LOLA Gift Card $10 – LOLA is a tampon subscription service. Who doesn’t need tampons. They are 100% cotton and one box contains 18 tampons, which seems a little steep for $9.
So the cookies, the makeup, and the toothpaste are all winners in my book. The watch is ok, and I’m really not sure about the necklace or the
water wine carafe. It’s only my first PopSugar Must Have Box, so overall I’m happy with the contents. The items I don’t want to keep will make good gifts.
