Christmas is finally here! Time to spend the day focusing on family, loved ones and spreading cheer and joy. The season went by so fast this year that I really didn’t have a good opportunity to sit back and enjoy it. My work schedule trumped making handmade gifts, boatloads of cookies and sending out Christmas cards. The good intentions were there, I promise. There is a weird pressure that develops during the holidays to have everything “perfect,” whether it is as a mom, spouse, neighbor, friend, etc… It’s easy to get caught up in that..but the reality is that that perfection is very difficult to achieve and is really not even necessary.
So now Mr. Sparklepants and I are spending this (very early) Christmas morning putting together a “big” gift for the sparkletots. You know the kind of gift that comes in a million pieces and with instructions that don’t make any sense, no matter what language you speak. It’s leaving me wishing that I would have paid someone to do this for me. Ugh.
I wish you a wonderful day filled with peace and delight! Merry Christmas!!
Hope the gift came together okay and you guys had a wonderful Christmas!
Sparklepants… I miss you! Please text me or call me. Had issues with my phone & now your number is gone. I have a favor to ask & want to come visit you!
We had a doll house to put together the night before Christmas. Seriously toys that require assembly should give you fair warning that it’s going to take you 3+ hours to put together. Hope the girls love their new quad! -assuming it’s assembled 🙂
