Mr. Postman delivered a Valentine’s Day surprise yesterday from Grandma Sparklepants. At first I was a little confused by the box.. the address was right, the last name was right, but the first name was Janet. Janet? I assure you my name is not Janet. Hmmm. Anyhow, inside the mailer was the cutest box wrapped in pink tissue paper and red and white baker’s twine. I love baker’s twine.
Inside was the most gorgeous handmade ceramic heart I have ever seen.
It has different designs on each side. The side in the photo above is my favorite.
I love handmade products, and when I get something handmade I like to find out about the people who made the item. The only identification of who made this little gem was on the return label..Owl Creek Ceramics. So I went to check out their website and etsy store. Owned by Dyna Rose Bailey and John Bailey, Owl Creek Ceramics has tons of ceramic pieces, all brightly colored and beautiful. Their website states that the ceramic dishes are dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
Owl Creek Ceramics is based in Texas where they have a red house, red barn and red studio, it’s in the studio where Dyna and John makes all their ceramic art. They even have a studio ‘protector’ named Daisy. She looks too sweet to be a protector!
