Here we are, another Friday. It seems like the weeks are going way too fast.
I received this interior design book, Pale & Interesting, yesterday and I absolutely love it. I was pre-ordering Decorate
, and it suggested this book too. Had I not had a glass of wine I wouldn’t have bought it because I don’t care for the title. But I’m glad I did. The images are perfect. A happy mix of vintage, modern and industrial that I am beginning to really love.
As I was perusing the Marimekko website (yet again), I happened across the Polku hanger.
Love at first sight for me. I would look cute in a bathroom to hang towels, no? It comes in other colorways, but I love that it looks like stones.
In response to the tragedies in Japan, many artists have made posters and are donating the profits to the Red Cross and other relief organizations. This one above from Green Optimist, on Etsy, particularly caught my eye.
And there are plenty of other Etsy sellers that are donating proceeds of their sales to Japan efforts as well. I bought the Godzilla poster above, from MonsterGallery, with 100% of the sale going to the Red Cross.
They Draw and Cook might be one of the coolest sites I’ve seen in a long time, found via Creature Comforts. Artists send in illustrations of recipes and the are free to print for everyone. Cool, cheap art for the kitchen! I love it so much I almost didn’t want to share with you. That would be mean.
