sparklepants ranger cookies revisited

Over a year ago when I had no clue what I was doing started this blog, I posted my not-so-famous recipe for ranger cookies. It is just a recipe with no pictures or anything special to it. Lame. So I am going to do it over..photographs and all.

The cookies are pretty much amazing. Terrible for you. Everything but the kitchen sink in there. Yum.

1 cup white sugar

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup butter (at room temperature)

2 eggs

1/2 tsp. vanilla (homemade vanilla!)

2 cups flour

1/2 tsp. salt

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. baking powder

2 cups oatmeal

1 cup Frosted Flakes

1 cup coconut

1 cup chocolate chips

a handful of walnuts

Cream together butter and sugars.  Add eggs and vanilla and cream well.  Stir in flour, salt, baking soda and powder. Add the rest of the ingredients.  Take off your rings because you’ll have to use your hands to mix it all up. I won’t tell if you lick your fingers.

Bake at 375° F for 6 minutes if you like them a little gooey, 8 minutes if you don’t. Take out an cool off on a rack or on an opened up paper bag. Store in an airtight container and eat like a banshee. Makes about 3 to 4 dozen, depending on how much cookie dough your children sneak.
