There are so many great ideas and things out there lately, that it’s hard to choose just a few to highlight. Here are some that caught my eye this week..

via Creature Comforts

It seems kind of silly to decorate the petals of fresh flowers with paint and glitter, but I love the gilded flowers from Creature Comforts. What a surprise this would be in a bouquet!

via Lotta Jansdotter

There are two things I can’t get enough of in life (well, okay, maybe more than two..but that’s for another time) One is anything by designer Lotta Jansdotter and the other is washi tape. The day I came across Lotta Jansdotter Washi Tape, I cried tears of joy. (I might be exaggerating, but I was happy). It’s expensive when you include shipping, so I didn’t buy it..but I’m glad to know it exists.

 via Food Network

I have three butternut squashes (squashies!) on my kitchen counter from my Bountiful Basket from 4 weeks ago. Thank goodness they last a long time! I’m not too sure what I want to do with them. I’m leaning towards making a soup to freeze, but this Saffron Risotto with Butternut Squash sure looks amazing. It’s Ina Garten’s recipe and Ina can do no wrong. It has saffron…oh how I love saffron. I wish saffron made the carbs not count. I’ll keep wishing.

via Too Much Time On My Hands

This DIY Sisal Hanging Lamp from Too Much Time On My Hands is really cute, and looks pretty easy to do. I’ve been wanting to make one of these with bakers’ twine, but I think I like the sisal twine better. Very cute!

I make homemade mac-n-cheese with chucks of butternut squash. I bake it in little ramekins, and the girls love it. The risotto looks yummy too.

I just watched that episode of Barefoot Contessa today and the dish looked and sounded amazing. If you make this, let me know how you like it. 🙂
