I can’t believe September is almost over! It’s still in the high 90s low 100s here in the desert, and I’m longing for the crisp, cool, fall air. It’s crisp and cool in the house..so I guess that will have to do.
I really like the colors on this medallion wreath over at Organize and Decorate Everything, made by guest poster A Trip To Holland. I’ve seen ceiling medallions used more and more for non-ceiling decor. I can’t get over the colors..they kind of redefine fall and can definitely go into winter.
Apparently I don’t write enough letters, because if I did I would have been using these stamps since they came out. The artwork is gorgeous! Love stamps from USPS.
I about passed out when I saw this recipe for Pumpkin Mac & Cheese from Family Spice via Tasteologie. It sounds so yummy. I might just give up on eating low carb all together, because I’m going to want to eat this everyday.
On a more serious note, there’s been a lot of projects around reusing pallets for interior projects. Well, this post on Curlby might change your mind about using them. It discusses the chemicals used on the pallets, in addition to exposure to the elements, possibly making a nice home for bacteria and insects. It’s interesting and makes you rethink using pallets in you projects.
Update** Here’s the link to the original shipping pallets post.
Thanks so much for mentioning my wreath! I adore that color combination, so it’s fun to see that someone else likes it, too. I’m having fun checking out your blog, right now–love the credenza and the bat tree.
