I can officially say that I am experienced at being very pregnant over the holidays. This is the second time in my life where I have been 36+ weeks pregnant on Christmas. Yay for January babies! Buying gifts for pregnant women can be tricky. Most likely they are gracious enough and will say ‘just get something for the baby.’ I know I’ve said it. Don’t do that though. These ladies are busy growing a small person inside of them, are most likely uncomfortable and are putting out a real effort to not lay down and take a nap under the Christmas tree.

Block Island Face Moisturizer – I love this moisturizer! My skin is so dry this winter and just a pea size amount brings my skin back to life and I don’t break out when I use it. It has SPF 30 with clear zinc, so it’s perfect for those sunny Saturday morning soccer games or when I go for a run. My make up goes on smoothly over it. The best part is that it is completely organic. It goes without saying that you need to be really careful what you put on your skin during pregnancy. Many high-end moisturizers have chemicals in them of questionable safety for pregnancy. With this moisturizer and line of products you know what you are getting and it’s safe for mom and baby. PLUS THERE’S A DISCOUNT CODE! You can save 25% off storewide from 11/25/16 to 11/29/16 using code BFCM16. Go stock up now!
These bracelets from StephanieMartinCo on Etsy are not only adorable and stylish, they are perfect for a new mom to use as a nursing bracelet. A nursing bracelet is a bracelet used as a reminder to mom as to which side she started the last feeding on, so she can start with the opposite side next time. It’s definitely helpful with those late night feedings when you’re so tired that it’s difficult to think straight. Plus there is no clasp to mess with. The bracelets come in sets of three and are affordable enough that you can get her two or three sets for stacking.
Every new mom is going to need a good water bottle. Breastfeeding makes you thirsty and she is going to need a water bottle that is easy to grab and drink out of with one hand, holds a good amount of water and keeps the water cold. The RTIC 30 ounce tumbler does just that. And you can customize it with stainless steel straws, a colorful handle to make it easy for her to grab and drink out of when she only has one hand free to use.
Sunglasses are a perfect accessory for the mom-to-be and the new mom. It the perfect way to hide those tired eyes when out in public. These ones from Tory Burch are big enough to cover any under-eye bags the sleep deprived mama is sporting.
I’m a big fan of slippers all year round, but especially in the winter when the floors are cold. I love these beaded slip-on slippers from Pretty You London. They are perfect for those late night wake up calls. I can’t seem to decide between the ivory or the black. They have rubber soles to prevent any slipping and it’s perfect when you need to run out to the car or the mailbox.
Chances are she won’t be sipping champagne to celebrate the New Year’s, so get her these Jelly Belly Bubbly champagne flavored jelly beans instead. There’s a good chance they taste better than the champagne anyway! The Champagne Bubbles candies are really good too!
This C.O. Bigelow My Favorite Night Balm No. 306 has quite a following for a lip balm. Basically it is a miracle worker for chapped lips. Momma is going to need this, because the hospital is a dry place, and normal lip balm might not cut it. This lip balm doesn’t have to be used at night, but it’s awesome if you put some on just before bed and wake up with smooth, moist lips. It’s a perfect stocking stuffer!
Gift cards- Typically I don’t really like receiving gift cards. They are generic and I forget to use them. But when you’re super preggo or have a brand new baby at home, leaving the house for essentials or making dinner can be a challenge. Make life easy for her and stock up on all kinds of gift cards. Amazon is easy, especially if she lives in an area that has Amazon Prime Now. There’s nothing worse than using the last diaper and nothing better than having it delivered to your door within two hours. Check out local food delivery services like GrubHub so she can get take out that she enjoys.
