Make your own alcohol ink holiday gift tags in any color and theme that you want!
Making gift tags is one of my favorite paper crafts. I feel like they are little pieces of art that accent beautiful gift wrapping. This year, I decided to continue to use alcohol inks to create a unique look to my presents.

To make the tags I pull out my Spellbinders Platinum die cut machine. I like it because I can use the steel rule contour dies (Tag Your It and Tag Team) and cut out many pages of the card stock at once. You can also use a Silhouette or other cutting machine or just purchase precut tags.
To make the fun alcohol ink holiday gift tags, I used special alcohol ink paper. It’s smooth and works great with the ink. The Ranger Alcohol Ink Surfaces pack includes some silver card stock that is really fun to use. Of course I used my turquiose and indigo alcohol inks, and a little silver as well. For some of the papers, I dripped on the ink and let it dry, and for others, I put the ink on a felt applicator and pounced it on to the paper. Each piece is unique and different!
I used snowflake confetti, imitation gold and silver leaf and snowflakes punched out of gold foil paper to accentuate the tags. To make stickers, I used the Xyron sticker maker, which is so fun to run the confetti through and turn them into stickers.
To affix the gold and silver leaf as a background, I just ran a glue stick across the tag and stuck down the leaf. Then I used my finger to rub off the excess leafing. Easy and pretty!
Of course, I brush lettered names on the back of the tags. For more about brush lettering, check out my Brush Lettering Resource Page!
