Receiving any kind of happy mail is my favorite and lately subscription boxes are the best happy mail. The Summer 2016 Edition of the FabFitFun Box arrived this past week and I can’t wait to share all the goods with you! Isn’t the design on the outside of the box adorable?!
THIS POST CONTAINS AFFILIATE LINKS, MEANING IF YOU CLICK ON A LINK AND BUY SOMETHING I MAY RECEIVE A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF THE SALE AT NO COST TO YOU.
The FabFitFun box is a quarterly subscription box that contains products focused on fitness, beauty and some extra fun stuff as well. I reviewed the Spring 2016 and the Welcome Box in the recent past as well.
Trina Turk Canvas Tote ~ The first thing I noticed was the bright orange Trina Turk canvas tote. There were three versions you could receive, an orange one that says Vitamin Sea, a yellow one that says Sunshine and Saltwater and a blue one that says Seas the Day. Of course they are all adorable and beachy themed. The bag is big and appears to be well constructed. I can’t wait to take this to the pool! $55
Stemulation Daily Micro Derm Scrub ~ This scrub is for both the face and body. It is very gentle, so it can be used every day. I’ve been using it for the past week on my body mostly and love the smoothness it gives my skin. The fragrance is light and refreshing. $34
Summer & Rose Yoga Towel ~ This yoga towel is really soft. I see myself using it less for yoga but more as a poolside towel. The towel was one of the item members were able to choose, the options were coral with the words Dream Big, pink with the words Good Vibes and then the aqua with More Happy, Less Worry. Of course I chose aqua since it’s one of my favorite colors! $36
Betchsicles Ice Pop Molds ~ At first I saw these ice pop molds and I’m like really, no. Don’t get me wrong, I love myself some ice pops… blueberry basil is my fave. But these molds are small and although shaped like champagne bottles they are kind of weird. That being said I read the description and the molds are a collab between FabFitFun and Betches. So I looked up Betches and found a sassy little shop that I love. So now I love the ice pop molds. I want boozy ice pops, but it won’t be happening for a while 😉 so I will have to make virgin ones. $19
Passport to Beauty Gypset Luminous Lips ~ I love a good lip gloss and this one is not bad. I like that it goes on smoothly and is not sticky, but the color is a little on the bold side for me, but I found it toned down a lot after dabbing with with some tissue. Also I’m not exactly fond of the smell/taste it has. It not unpleasant, but not great either. $18
Osea Atmosphere Protection Cream -This is a very lightweight moisturizer that goes on super smoothly and adds just the right amount of moisture without being greasy. I actually really like it and have been wearing it under my Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Hydrating Gel Cream, since I feel like I really need the extra moisture during the hot desert summer. This is another product that I’m not a fan of the fragrance too much. It has a woodsy, herby smell, which I don’t find too pleasing, but I like the product regardless and would very likely buy it again. $48
FabFitFun Everyday Beach Waves Spray – This is a spray with a light hold that is meant to give you “beachy waves,” even when you are thousands of miles from the beach. It’s the one product that I haven’t tried yet. I can tell you that is smells good and I like the idea of “messy hair, don’t care” which is kind of my attitude this summer. I’ll be sure to update this once I use the spray. $18
Sponsored Items-
There were three bonus items in this box this time. These bonus or sponsored items don’t count towards the total value of the box and are usually just samples.
Burt’s Bees BB Cream – I am a huge fan of Burt’s Bees products and I swear that the Burt’s Bees Renewal Refining Cleanser has made a huge improvement in my skin over the past couple years. BB cream is great for the summer because it doesn’t go on as heavy as foundation and gives you just enough coverage so you don’t lose your glow. These little samples are a fun and I like the coverage and the just enough tint that the BB cream provides.
Compeed Blister Cushions – These are pretty much band-aids for blisters, which is always useful to have around. It claims to stay on for three days. I don’t look forward to getting blisters but next time I do it will be interesting to see if these work!
Hellofresh coupon – I’ve yet to try a meal subscription service. It seems intriguing to learn to prepare new meals, but my family is such picky eaters that I’m reluctant to spend the money. Have any of you tried these meal services?
Do you have a favorite subscription box? I’d love to hear about it!
