Add some shine to your potted plants by decorating the plant containers with adhesive vinyl! This Shine On vinyl sticker is cute and motivating, and perfect for a pop of fun.

Spring has sprung and it’s time for new plants. I mean you can never have too many plants. This cute vinyl decorated planter is a gift for a friend’s daughter who loves plants…a girl after my own heart. I used some bright and shiny vinyl to personalize the planter, which is fun and vibrant!

Instructions

When choosing your planter, try and find ones that are straight up and down, not tapered, so that they are easier to adhere the vinyl design to.

Adhesive vinyl cut outs, weeded on yellow, opal orange and coral colored vinyl on a dark background with a weeding tool on top.

Download the cut file from Silhouette Design Studio and resize it so that it fits the planter. I like to cut out the same design in all three colors, so that I can mix and match the pieces. If you don’t want to do that, you can separate the elements of the design after resizing it, so that it just cuts out the part in the vinyl that you need.

Make sure that the surface of your planter is clean, by using rubbing alcohol or glass cleaner to clean it.

Cut out the vinyl design and weed out the elements that you need. Using the gridded transfer tape.

Adhere the vinyl and smooth it down with the scraping tool. Remove the transfer tape and enjoy your cute vinyl decorated planter!
